The Dorset rural touring arts organisation, Artsreach, often makes use of The Hut. It provides live touring performances of theatre, music, dance, comedy, literature, film and puppetry.

Powerstock School makes good use of The Hut during term-times. Check our availability to see when.
The Seedlings Pre-School Group meets in The Hut fortnightly, term-times only. Please contact the School Office on 01308 485380 to get more information.
The school is now using the hut for its daily worship sessions.

The Parish Council and the Parochial Church Council meet here on the fourth Monday of every month excluding August and December, starting at 8pm at The Hut. Agendas are published on the Parish Council website.

TIckets £7.50. In aid of ‘Hooke Court in Malawi” helping to educate dome of the world”s poorest children.

Artsreach
Ghost of a Smile performed by Nicholas Collett.
Two Dickens’ ghost stories with a comic twist. Adapted and directed by Gavin Robertson. Tales with a tingle, but also a giggle.
School Christmas Fair
Powerstock School held their annual Christmas Fair on Friday 6 December. Angelica organised a Powerstock Village Stall. The whole evening was a great success.

The audience was treated to a glorious mix of beautiful songs and storytelling from award-winning folk musician, Allison Lupton.
Table tennis
Table Tennis sessions have started again! Usually Wednesdays from 5.30pm - 7.30pm but dates may vary and will be shown outside the Hut.
Fideri Fidera - Oskar’s Amazing Adventure
An original, heart-warming and entertaining play for young children and their families, full of good humour, adventure, music and song, this was a magical event for the younger members of our local community.
Ask the Experts: Antiques Afternoon
Our own antiques roadshow on the afternoon of Saturday 26th October went well. Over 60 peple attended. .
Spooky Disco
Powerstock School hosted a Spooky Disco 5-6.30 at The Hut on Friday 25 October. There were some wonderful fancy dress outfits.
Harvest Supper
This year’s Harvest Supper was a great success, thanks to Heather Pitcher and her amazing team of helpers.
Five Pubs Challenge
Make your way between the five local pubs to raise money for The Hut and other local village halls
Aikido Seminar
Eden Aikido is hosting an Open Seminar at Camp Eden and Powerstock Hut from 18th until 22nd July. Camping is available at Camp Eden.
Powerstock Primary School Play
Powerstock Primary School are putting on a production of Cindarella Rockefeller, showcasing their Year 6 leavers.
Barn Dance
On Saturday 1 June The Hut hosted a barn dance. The Ping Pong Orchestra provided the music. Proceeds went to the Weir Sports Club.
Latchpen
On Saturday 9 March Artsreach held a string jazz evening, provided by the band Latchpen. Their influences range from Romani music via Django Reinhardt to bebop. It was a great success.
Big Breakfast
On Sunday 25th February 2024 Powerstock Hut hosted The Big Breakfast, in aid of The Peal Appeal, to help fund the planned work on our church bells. The event was a great success and soon after The Peal Appeal learned it had reached its target.
Lyngo Theatre - Egg & Spoon
Last October, Artsreach and Lygo Theatre presented Egg and Spoon at The Hut - a gentle introduction to the magic of theatre aimed at young children. The audience were transfixed.
Barn Dance
A very successful Barn Dance was held at The Hut in October 2023. The Ping Pong Orchestra provided music for the evening.
FiFi La Mer - A Journey into French Music
In March 2023 the singer Fifi La Mer took the audience at The Hut on a journey through the last 100 years of French music. The event proved very popular.
